THINGS TO AVOID ENTIRELY DOING IN THE GYM

Using our ’phones for anything other than checking our workout, listening to tunes, or as a timer; offering unsolicited advice. Unless we’re really, really sure someone’s about to break their spine!; leaving blots of sweat on the benches and mats. Perspiration is fine and to be expected, but wipe it up when done; throwing weights to the floor after a set; leaving a towel on the bench as we tour the gym. It’s not a sun lounger!; building up a magpie-like pile of dumbbells around us as we train. Other folk may need them; not putting the weights back. Think of it as part of the cool down; doing the ‘hover.’ It’s okay to ask to share, or check how long someone’s going to be. Just don’t circle like a barracuda silently waiting.
