Following the success of last year's charity event, there will be an evening of cawl and cool music at the Buccaneer Inn, Tenby, on Friday, March 1, to celebrate St. David's Day.

The Irish do St. Patrick's Day so well, we thought we should stir up a bit of 'hwyl' ourselves and make much more of our national day.

Starting at 7.30 pm, guests will be served bowls of Doug's finest homemade cawl, with hunks of bread and Welsh cheese, and will then be entertained by Pembrokeshire songstress Ffion Phillips.

If last year is anything to go by, after the proper entertainment anything could happen, with local unsuspecting 'talent' being called up from the floor to participate - so come prepared with your favourite Tom Jones lyrics or well-thumbed copy of Under Milk Wood!

All will be welcome to join in and perform/or be paid to stop, as the case may be!

The aim of the evening is to celebrate, have fun, and raise money towards the Urdd Eisteddfod 2013 appeal, as the eisteddfod itself comes to Pembrokeshire this May.

Tickets are available from the Buccaneer Inn on 842273, or Julie on 07967 613679 at £7.50 each, and the evening will be in English, as well as Welsh.

Thanks in advance to Barclays Bank, Tenby, for agreeing to match our fundraising pound for pound.
