A Whitland woman will be snipping her long locks to donate to the Little Princess Trust.
Cathy Brown will be cutting off about 12 inches of her hair to give to the organisation that makes wigs for children with cancer.
Little Princess Trust provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.
“Sometimes a suitable wig can’t be made using donated hair as it’s not a close enough match to the child’s original hair, so one is purchased by the charity,” explained Cathy.
“This costs around £350 per wig, so it would be really amazing if I could raise some money for them too,” she added.
Cathy has set up a JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/Cathy-Brown2 for ayone wishing to donate to the cause.
