Local councillors have once again praised the Carten100 charity bike ride between Cardiff and Tenby which took place on Saturday.

Once again, a wealth of good causes will benefit from the charity event, with Velindre Cancer Centre and Tenovus Cancer Care this year’s two main charities.

“Congratulations to the Carten organisers and participants for another successful event,” Clr. Trevor Hallett told his colleagues at Monday night’s meeting of the town council.

“Around 2,500 riders were once again welcomed by the town. It certainly puts Tenby on the map!” he said.

Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane said that it was great to see so many people supporting the event, and with the finishing line in Tudor Square, the town was one agin packed.

“It was another great event for the town!” she said.
