Sir,

I was amazed to read Mr. Davis' letter wherein he believes that Tenby Cottage Hospital does not contribute any significant medical benefit.

A relative of mine is spending her final days in the 'Cottage' surrounded by a team of compassionate, caring, dedicated nurses and other staff.

She has undergone all the cancer treatments and major operations in Withybush. Nothing more can be done for her except to let her end her days in dignity, in peace, in comfort and surrounded by kind faces.

God bless the staff of the Cottage Hospital. They must not be allowed to think that their work is any the less important for not being in the high-tec league. They care when it matters most...

Barbara Stredder,

Marsh Road,

Tenby.
