What a transformation this week - Carew Youth Club became distinctly Italian!
Beth, Georgia and Ollie had asked if the club could hold a themed night so we opted to start with a little taste of Italy.
Head chef Ollie, ably assisted by his sous chefs Georgia and Beth, served up dishes of pasta and pizza.
Let me tell you catering for forty five hungry youngsters is no mean feat and they did it wonderfully. Everything tasted delicious (or should I say delizioso)! Scrumptious pizzas were produced with every topping you could imagine.
They had also provided activities, which had members hunting all over the club to find items from Italy.
There were also quizzes and guess how many pasta shells in the jar - all whilst Italian music was being played in the background.
The group also worked hard making bunting, Italian flags and posters of Italy to decorate the room, all finished off with green, white and red balloons.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening, which was finished off with not 'just one Cornetto' but 45!
As the evening was such a success, it was decided that the club should hold a French themed night next time.
What are you like at cooking snails and frogs legs Ollie?
Huge thanks to Georgia, Beth and Ollie for all their hard-work and also to their parents who gave a helping hand. Thanks also to Dom for preparing one of the quizzes. So until next week, ciao!
