Diamond Jubilee fever has already hit Carew, months before the event! Both adults and children alike are busy making outfits and preparing for Carew's very special celebrations on the June 5 bank holiday. The day is set to include a fun-filled fancy dress parade from Sageston School to Carew sports field, with some special guest judges! This will occur as part of larger celebrations when there will even be a Carew coronation!

The celebrations kick-off tomorrow (Saturday), when the King, Queen, Prince and Princess for the fancy dress parade will be crowned. Anyone under the age of 16 is urged to have a go at being these royals. Just come to Carew Sports Club for 5 pm when the draw will take place.

So, Carew is already feeling a sense of community a while before the Diamond Jubilee and if anyone wishes to share this spirit with them they shall be welcomed.
