Carew Community Councillors recently celebrated the remarkable achievement of 63 years continuous service on Carew Community Council of John Brock MBE.

Mr. Brock’s family were also in attendance along with the Chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council at an afternoon tea punctuated by anecdotes.

Mr Brock has served on other committees within Pembrokeshire and is known far and wide not just in the Parish of Carew. He had recently decided to retire.

“Carew Councillors will miss his vast knowledge and recall of historic events,” said Clerk to the Community Councillor, Stephanie Edwards.

“Mr. Brock has been a valued and loyal servant to the Parish and Councillors are very honoured and priviledged to have served with him – always the gentleman and passionate about issues within his parish of ‘Carey’. Happy Retirement John!”
