A second pensioner has died following last Thursday's tragic fire at a South Pembrokeshire care home.
Eighty-eight-year-old Albert Henry John Thomas died at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, on Sunday night, having been a patient there since the blaze at the Old Rectory Residential Home, Gumfreston.
Better known to friends and family as Jack, Mr. Thomas was a retired senior history master and former president of Tenby RNLI.
He was one of five people taken to hospital after the fire.
Yesterday (Thursday), the other four, all ladies, were described as "much improved" by a hospital spokesperson.
Investigations into the cause of the fire, which also claimed the life of 83-year-old Nellie Walsh, are continuing.
