Canaston Bowl is inviting local schools to nominate classes to win a free hour's bowling as an end of term treat.

The Canaston Bridge centre, which includes a 10-lane tenpin bowling alley, is asking schools to write in saying why they deserve to win.

Bosses will choose what they consider to be the best applicants and then arrange a special event for them and their classmates.

Canaston Bowl manager, Emma Owen, said: "The school holidays are almost upon us and we wanted to come up with an idea that would provide a final treat for youngsters at the end of term.

"Bowling is great fun and absolutely everybody, regardless of age or ability, can take part. That makes it particularly popular for children and families.

"We're hoping to get lots of interesting and entertaining entries and looking forward to welcoming the winners along in the next few weeks," she added.

Anyone wanting to nominate their class should write to Canaston Bowl, Canaston Bridge, Narberth, Pembs. SA67 8DD or email [email protected]">[email protected] by July 14.
