The wedding took place at Ciffig Church, Ciffig, Whitland, on September 1, of Mr. Gethin Brown and Miss Helen Priest.

The groom, a dairy farmer, is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Hywel Brown, of Green Plains, Mayfield Acres, Kilgetty, while the bride, a community midwife in the Narberth, Tenby and Saundersfoot area, is the daughter of Mr. Ken Priest and the late Mrs. June Priest, of Waun Farm, Ciffig, Whitland.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a dress and jacket featuring crystal detailing to the bodice and hem. She also wore a beautiful Swarovski crystal trimmed veil. Chief bridesmaid was Sarah Howells (bride's best friend), while bridesmaids were Rhiannon Howells and Ffion Howells (chief bridesmaid's daughters). They wore dresses with crystal beadwork in either peach or raisin colour.

Flower girl was Jenna Thomas (bride's friend's daughter) and page boy was Christopher Priest (bride's nephew).

Best man was Carwyn Brown (groom's brother), while ushers were David Priest (bride's brother) and Adrian Davies (groom's friend). The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Kingsley Taylor, with organist being Mrs. Ray James. A reading was also given by the groom's father, Rev. Hywel Brown. A reception was held at Broadway Country House, Laugharne.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Canada travelling through the Rocky Mountains from Vancouver to Calgary. They are making their home at Lower Llantidwell, Tavernspite.
