Sir,
Neil Kinsey is president of the Australian Welsh Male Voice Choir, who will be coming to Tenby in March of next year as part of their tour of the UK.
Originally from Warrington, Neil is delving into family history in the hopes of finding relatives, and has recently discovered a Tenby connection in the records of births, marriages and deaths.
What is recorded is a marriage in the register office in the District of Pembroke, December 17, 1898.
The groom was a merchant seaman called Henry Collins, aged 23, of 6 South Parade, Tenby, son of Christopher Collins, blacksmith and journeyman.
The bride was Mary Elizabeth Goodridge, aged 21, also of South Parade, Tenby, daughter of fisherman George Goodridge (Neil's great grandfather).
Does anyone know of this couple or their offspring and relations? If you think you can help, please contact the Observer.
Tony Dickinson
