OBSERVER readers are being asked for their help by Melvyn Bluck, of Great Buckham, Surrey, who is tracing his family tree. Melvyn has come across a relation by the name of Henry (Harry) Hooper (pictured below), who was coxswain of Tenby Lifeboat between 1931 and 1946. "Along with other members of the Hooper family, they have clocked up around 200 years service to the lifeboat," said Mr. Bluck. "I know the Hooper family settled in Tenby in 1868, and I am just hoping that some of your readers may be able to recognise Henry or be able to give me some information about his family. "My grandmother was a Davies and obviously married into the Bluck family, but before that the Davies' and Hoopers had been linked through marriage," he added. Mr. Bluck can be contacted on 01372 450776.
