One of the perils of playing football at Tenby is that from time to time the ball ends up in the Ritec and has to be retrieved.
Substitute Jimmy Cowan did the honorable thing and went to retrieve the ball which went into the river during the Reserve Division One match between Tenby and Herbranston. When Jimmy got to the river bank, it gave way and he fell in and was submerged in the water.
As might be expected, he had little sympathy from his team-mates who had doubled up with laughter.
The incident prompted coach Dean Hurlow to say: "A lot of footballers are known to dive in the box, but Jimmy Cowan has gone one better and dived into the Ritec."
