Play is not just for children; that's what you will discover at a PLANED event at a Pembrokeshire Consultative Forum meeting on February 24, at Simpson Cross Village Hall.

If your community wants to extend the range of activities that are on offer to residents, then why not go along to this event? Representatives from communities who are successfully running play and activities projects will be sharing information with those who are looking to set up projects in their area.

Various speakers will cover a variety of topics, including setting up a children's play area, exploring the local area, opportunities for older people and providing activities for young people.

"Play is for everyone," said Jessica Morgan, community and sustainability manager at PLANED, "and we hope that this event will show that there are all sorts of opportunities to introduce activities that will involve all sections of the community, from the very young, to older people."

There will also be displays from partner organisations who can advise on related matters such as funding and health and safety. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and gather information.

The evening will start at 5 pm with an open session for the general public when you can meet PLANED staff and its partners. This will be followed at 7 pm by a meeting specifically for Community Associations and Forums and will consist of speakers and a question and answer session. Refreshments will be available at the end of the evening.
