Sir,
As you know, there has, by tradition, been a horse-drawn carriage in Tenby for 30 years. Its known worldwide.
John provided an amazing service and his father before him. His successor chose another path and we willingly stepped into the breach so that the tradition continued, both for the benefit of residents and tourists alike.
It was a privilege to operate in Tenby last summer, to the delight of both ourselves and the myriad of residents and visitors who came to see us and the horses and enjoy the carriage ride.
When we were asked to step up, we did willingly, hoping, in view of the distance, that we would find a Tenby base. Traditionally the horses had been stabled in Sergeants Lane, but this is not currently available. And so we are searching for somewhere to call home!
Our needs are twofold.
Of prime importance is a base for the carriage, in town, and then a home for the horses for the season, which can be a little way out of town.
A courtyard or a driveway is sufficient for the carriage.
If you can help, please call us on 07816482923 or our website address is http://www.carriagesinthepark.co.uk">www.carriagesinthepark.co.uk
We really would like to continue the service.
Kate Telford,
Carriages in the Park.
