Water company boss David Jones is splashing out with a double contribution to Tenby-Caldey Open Water Swim.

Along with a £300 sponsorship gift to the summer's event, David, of Princes Gate Spring Water, is also one of around 40 swimmers who will tackle the two-mile course from the monastic island to the North Beach on Sunday, July 21.

The swim is being organised under the banner of Tenby Sea Swimming Association, which has staged the town's famous Boxing Day Swim for over 40 years, and will be raising money for the RNLI.

Said TSSA chairman Chris Osborne: "Princes Gate Water is a generous supporter of great Welsh sporting events, so we are delighted to welcome them on board to back this inaugural Caldey Swim.

"David is certainly going to be leading by example in signing up for the swim!"
