Sir, I visited the Tenby area last week at the recommendation of a friend. Not been to Pembrokeshire before and had a good holiday. During our stay (log cabin in St. Florence) we took the opportunity to visit Caldey Island. I took numerous photographs and when I got home to Melbourne, Derbyshire, I downloaded them onto my computer. Three of the photos appear to have a brown cloud floating around on the buildings I was photographing. The building in question was the old priory. The photos immediately before and after the three show no abnormalities at all. Two of the photos were taken a few seconds apart from the same position and the cloud has moved. The camera lens was not 'contaminated' in any way, i.e. no finger prints etc., and, although I am computer savvy, I would not have the slightest clue of how to 'doctor' a photo. I cannot really explain what the object is - it has me completely puzzled. Several people have expressed the opinion that this maybe a paranormal or ghostly apparition. Have any such instances been reported from Caldey Island in the past? Is there anyone in the Tenby locale that may have an opinion on what I have photographed? Peter Higginbotham.

PS. I was very stressed when my wife and I took the break in Tenby. At 66 I have come out of retirement to help my oldest friend run his business. His wife has just undergone major surgery and while she recovers I am travelling 112 miles a day round trip to help out. On top of that, my 92-year-old mother-in-law has senile dementia and we are having to cope with caring for her until a place in a care home comes available. Since visiting Caldey Island, I feel completely stress-free. I thought the atmosphere on the island was tranquil when we visited, but it didn't click until a few days later that I felt so calm and stress free. Maybe there is something unusual about the place!
