A Pembroke Dock woman has a busy year ahead of her after enjoying success in the Miss Real Woman UK finals recently.

Rebecca Vaughan Jones, of Commercial Row, was crowned Miss Real Woman UK earlier this year when she travelled to Newport, Gwent, to compete in the 2013 finals at the Holton Hotel.

Competing against 51 girls, Rebecca was awarded overall Miss Personality and went on to be crowned Miss Real woman UK 2013!

"The beauty pageant is run by pageant director Miss Victoria George-Veale, a woman who wanted to revolutionise the pageant industry with Curves," explained Rebecca.

"I have competed in pageants for many years and couldn't quite believe I had won my first big crown!

I have won many titles, but never achieved a first place and I couldn't have been more humbled and honoured to be chosen to represent New Level Pageants at their first Miss Real Woman UK," she continued.

Throughout Rebecca's title year, she will be appearing at many charity fundraisers and community fun days.

She has also made the finals of Miss British Beauty Curve 2013 which is taking place on Sunday, June 22, in Redhill, Surrey, and will also be entering the finals of Miss United Kingdom's Tourism pageant taking place at Aintree Race Course in October.
