Tenby lifeboats had a busy weekend.

On Saturday, both the all-weather lifeboat, the Haydn Miller, and the inshore vessel, Georgina Taylor, were launched just after 4.30 pm after Milford Haven Coastguard received information that a small boat with four persons onboard was adrift off the Swanlake/Freshwater East area.

On arrival, the lifeboats found the vessel had suffered engine failure.

The vessel, with its four occupants, was taken in tow and landed safely at Freshwater East.

The following day, the Haydn Miller was requested to launch by Milford Haven Coastguard after they received reports of persons in the water off Skrinkle Haven.

As soon as the lifeboat arrived in the area, it launched its Y boat, with two volunteer crew onboard, and both lifeboats then commenced a search of the area.

Two divers were soon located close in to the rocks who were spear fishing and not in any difficulty.

The lifeboat escorted them back to the beach and waiting members of Tenby Coastguard Rescue Team.
