Heavy rain on Saturday resulted in a busy time for local firefighters. Fire crews from Tenby attended Hunters Park, New Hedges, twice, once to deal with water entering a property and again to pump out flooding from a garage. They also attended the town's Evergreen Inn and used a low level ejector pump to mop up a large quantity of water which had entered the establishment. Other calls included dealing with flooding at a property in School Lane, Penally, while high winds resulted in a chimney stack becoming unsafe at a property in Warren Street, Tenby. Using a turntable ladder from Haverfordwest, firefighters made the structure safe. Elsewhere, a crew from Whitland were called to unblock gullies and divert floodwater at Horsepool Road, Laugharne, while their Narberth colleagues were called to attend similar problems in Martletwy.
