On Thursday, July 8, a large gathering of parents and friends enjoyed an entertaining afternoon of music and poetry when Year Six pupils took part in the annual Performer of the Year competition.
In conjunction with the competition, some Year Six pupils were presented with prizes by the chairman of governors, Mrs. Brenda Badham.
On a glorious sunny Tuesday afternoon, the annual sports were staged. The spectators were enthralled by some excellent close races, in particular the mum's egg and spoon and a highly competitive dad's sprint.
The PTA provided all competitors with fruit juice.
Miss Emma Rowell organised the Sport Relief mile on Friday, July 9. Five groups of pupils and adults took it in turns to run one lap at a time until everyone completed one mile. There were some very inventive methods of covering the distance, from wheelbarrowing, to dancing and cartwheeling to piggy-backing. The money raised will go to the Sport Relief charity.
