A FAMILY-owned business based in Aberporth on Cardigan Bay and Tenby, Pembrokeshire celebrated its 20th anniversary last week.

Self-catering holiday property specialists West Wales Holiday Cottages held a special event at Cardigan Pizza Tipi, bringing together cottage owners, local partners, and supporters from across the region.

Guests enjoyed an evening of food, conversation and celebration, with speeches highlighting the company’s journey from a small family-run start-up in 2005 to a key player in the region’s self-catering holiday industry.

The company’s rationale is proudly displayed on its website: “Because we’re local means we can deliver a highly personal service which sets us apart from the competition.”

The evening was a chance to reflect on two decades of promoting local tourism and connecting guests with some of Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire’s most treasured holiday spots - miles of stunning coastline and beautiful beaches, historical towns and rolling countryside.

Lisa Stopher, Managing Director said “We are so proud of our achievements over the last 20 years. We started with a handful of cottages and now boast almost 600 properties, with something for everyone.”

“Some of our owners have been with us since the very early days, a testament to the fantastic team we have on board,” she added.

“We have exciting plans for the future and look forward to bringing guests to West Wales for years to come.”
