The coming year promises to be a very busy one for Bloomfield, not only has the variety and number of learning opportunities increased, so has the size of the centre.

Over the last year, an extensive programme of development has been taking place at the centre. The Brynmor Evans Training and Seminar Centre, which is fully equipped with up-to-date technology, and the planned refurbishment of the existing building will be completed by the end of September. The project has also provided new facilities for Learning Pembrokeshire Community IT, and a Day Nursery.

The Training and Seminar Centre has been named after the association's former chair and president of Bloomfield, Mr. Brynmor Evans, who helped to develop this award-winning centre in the 1980s.

Grants for this project were received from The Big Lottery, Objective 1, Welsh Assembly Government's Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund and Local Regeneration Fund, The Welsh Development Agency, the Garfield Weston Trust and the 'Greening your Community Building' grant scheme funded by the Sustainable Development Fund from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park managed by PAVS.

The education and leisure programme this year includes a total of 98 classes each week, ranging from Glass Painting to Flamenco. There are eight languages offered through no less than 20 separate classes.

Also there are a wide range of learning opportunities under the following categories: Creative Skills, Health and Leisure, Music and Dance, Local History, Basic Skills as well as GCSE Maths and English. The Learning Pembrokeshire Community IT department continues to offer an extensive range of IT courses to suit all abilities.

Bloomfield's sports facilities have been further enhanced this year with the amalgamation of the Weights Room and Fitness Suites into one area, the whole having been redecorated and old weights machines have been replaced by newer versions It is open from early morning to 10 pm, from Monday to Friday, and from 9 am to 5 pm on weekends.
