Two of new Wales Air Ambulance volunteers from Pembroke Dock, Richard ‘Barney’ Lewis and his support vehicle driver Glenn Collins, took on the challenge of walking from Pembroke Dock to Carew and return, distance of about 12 miles.
These two enthusiastic Wales Air Ambulance volunteers achieved their goal over the Easter Monday period and raised a fantastic £850.
They were joined on the walk by Michael Osborne, Hannah Lewis and Becky Osborne, who encouraged Barney all the way.
They have more adventures planned to support the charity, with Glenn planning a sky dive and Barney organising a summer draw with numerous prizes on offer.
They both work for Taf Valley Coaches and on Tuesday, May 29, they handed over the cheque to Tony Key OBE, the retiring Wales Air Ambulance coordinator for Pembrokeshire, at their bus depot in the beautiful settings of Whitland and the rolling Pembrokeshire hillside.
