An event is being held on Thursday, June 14, at Pembrokeshire College about the serious topic of 'Bullying and harassment in the workplace'. Workplace bullying is a serious issue, not only for those who may be experiencing the affects of bullying, but also for employers who have a duty of care to their employees and should have suitable policies and procedures in place to deal with harassment and discrimination. This event aims to discuss and highlight the issues surrounding workplace bullying, including 'what it is', how to recognise and identify that it is happening, look at the impact that bullying can have on both the individual and the business, and steps that should and can be taken to resolve issues and reduce the stress. This event is jointly hosted by the Chartered Management Institute and Women in Management, with support from PBI's Pembrokeshire B2B events programme which is part funded by the European Union via Objective One. It is being presented by Mair O'Connor, of CT Learning Ltd. Mair left a long and successful career in HR and Training when she moved to Pembrokeshire from her home town of Merthyr Tydfil in October 2000, to work as a freelance management development consultant.   She is highly qualified and experienced in people management and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.    She established CT Learning Ltd. in 2001, and the company which offers a wide range of management courses, and tailored training, has gone from strength to strength. Mair works with many different clients, both in private and public sectors, including local authorities, care, manufacturing, retail, tourism, and voluntary organisations. Married to Stephen, she has three grown-up children and two little granddaughters. Meet at 6.30 pm for registration, coffee and buffet. Admittance is free.
