More than 1,200 charities throughout the UK have received a share of £68,000 in Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation's annual giveaway - 'Make a Difference Week'.
For one week in June, Yorkshire Building Society asked customers and members of the public to call into one of its branches to nominate a charity or good cause to receive a cash donation.
At the Tenby branch in Tudor Square, 17 charities that were nominated during 'Make a Difference Week' shared a total donation of £850.
The charities receiving support were: ACES Cycling Club (Help for Heroes); Army Benevolent Fund; Diabetes UK Cymru; Faith Hope Charity Society; Friends of St. Teilo's School; Ladies Rowing Section; Lluest Horse and Pony Trust; Narberth Cardiac Rehab; Penally Village Hall; Rescued Racers; Sardis Parks and Gardens; Saundersfoot Footlights; Tenby Arts Festival; Tenby Playgroup; Tenby Sea Cadet Unit No.453; The Royal British Legion, Tenby; Wales Air Ambulance.
'Make a Difference Week' is made possible through the society's unique fund-raising initiative - 'Small Change, Big Difference'.
This scheme sees members of Yorkshire Building Society donating the pennies from the interest on their accounts to make a big pot of money for charities.
Sian Rees, manager at the branch, said: "The number of nominations we received was fantastic and it was a great chance for us to learn about the work of some amazing local charities and good causes in our area.
"We're really pleased that the people of Tenby came into our branch and supported charities important to them and their communities," she added.
