A construction and building maintenance company that has stepped forward to offer assistance to help enhance a Tenby play park and also the town’s iconic bandstand has been praised.

Residents of Heywood Court recently contacted the town council seeking support to look into the possibility of refurbishing the play park area, which had not been upgraded for many years and had gone into a state of disrepair somewhat.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, the town clerk Andrew Davies told members that the R and M Williams Building Group that has carried out work at the play park had done a ‘brilliant job’.

“What they have done there at Heywood Court is tremendous and what’s more, they are willing to help with the town’s bandstand spruce-up as well,” said Clr. Mike Evans.

Mr. Davies confirmed that the paint for the bandstand had now arrived and he was looking to co-ordinate with a team of volunteers who wanted to get involved, and also members of the Tenby and District Lions, to set out a date to carry out the work.

Clr. Evans asked Mr. Davies to liaise with R and M Williams Building Group on the work.
