Sir, How can Clr. Blackhall ’applaud’ and state that the loss of Brynhir Fields is a ’brave and bold move’. I am amazed in this time of conservation that a town councilor can be so out of touch with environmental issues. Other areas are protecting their wildlife and green spaces for future generations; Tenby actally ’applauds’ the loss of them!

We have all been made aware of the danger of ’plastic’ and our oceans, but the countryside and wildlife within it must be sustained too!

Brynhir Fields are better than any park or farm, where adults and children can watch wildlife in its natural habitat. The range of wildlife in those fields is enormous, and the number of bats flying at night is a sight to behold.

Might I suggest that Tenby Town Council take a stroll around the fields to meet the great number of people who walk there from early morning to dusk. It’s a place of solace for some and a time to socialise for others. I have made so many friends there, and chatted to visitors travelling through. I would be so disappointed if our representatives on the council were then unable to understand the area’s importance.

I understand the need for affordable housing, but please do not think some local connection clause will keep them for local people! It costs very little to have these clauses removed, ask any solicitor.

Sandra Williams,

Tenby
