The 2nd St. Issell's Brownies in Saundersfoot have just completed their Wildlife Explorer Badge with the help of Webs and Scales, of Narberth.

The girls had to observe wildlife as part of the badge and were delighted when Juliette and Holly brought along some of their exotic creatures to the Brownie meeting.

The Brownies learnt many interesting facts about spiders, lizards, snakes and millipedes, and all were given the opportunity of either holding a lizard or snake!

It was a very interesting evening and, although some of the Brownies were a little concerned about handling these beautiful creatures, most of them overcame their worries.

The Brownies will now be going on to do their Friend to Animals badge and will be completing part of this when they visit Folly Farm this Sunday.

This is a special day in the Girlguiding calendar as it is Thinking Day when Girl Guides all over the world are invited to think of others to celebrate the birthday of their founders - Lord and Lady Baden Powell.

This year, nearly 300 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and their leaders from all over Pembrokeshire will be celebrating Thinking Day at Folly Farm, with a special ceremony during the afternoon in the theatre.

Why not go along and meet some of them. There will be lots of information and displays available all about Guiding in Pembrokeshire.
