Tenby’s flowers and gardens enjoyed a good watering this morning, along with floral competition judges!
The Wales in Bloom team and the town’s Deputy Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, also chairman of Tenby in Bloom, came armed with brollies and raincoats for the judging walkabout of the annual contest, which is the regional element of the national Britain in Bloom competition supported by the Royal Horticultural Society.
Last year the resort won a record breaking 30th Wales in Bloom title, at a ceremony held at Wolfscastle Country Hotel.
The town took top place in the new ‘coastal resort up to 12,000’ category, with a silver gilt, and will be hoping to regain it’s crown again this year.
The judging for Britain in Bloom in Tenby will take place on August 5.
