This weekend ( August 3 and 4), Pembroke Autograss Club (PAC) will be hosting the biggest event in the autograss racing calendar, the Men's National Autograss Championships.
Over 400 competitors will be travelling from all parts of the British Isles and Ireland to compete in this prestigious event, which will be held at West Jordaston Farm, St Florence, which is owned by Michael and Peter Rees.
Local Pembroke Autograss Club members have been working extremely hard over the past few months constructing the track and making all the necessary preparations for this big event and all their hard work has paid off as it truly is a magnificent venue with a large, swooping oval track which will produce some very fast and exciting racing.
For those readers who do not know what autograss racing is, it is 10 different classes of cars racing on an oval grass track. The 10 classes are:
Class 1 - Under 1000cc unmodified Mini's.
Class 2 - Up to 1300cc, limited modification vehicles.
Class 3 - Over 1421cc, front engines, rear wheel drive, modified saloons.
Class 4 - Up to 1130cc modified vehicles.
Class 5 - 1132cc to 1420cc modified vehicles.
Class 6 - Over 1421cc front wheel drive, modified vehicles.
Class 7 - Over 1421cc rear wheel drive, modified vehicles.
Class 8 - Up to 1420cc Specials.
Class 9 - 1421cc to 2070cc Specials.
Class 10 - Over 2071cc Specials.

Racing will start at 10.30 am on Saturday, 3 and 11 am on Sunday, August 4. Prices are £6 on Saturday and £6.50 on Sunday per adult with reductions for children and OAP's.
If you wish to camp on site it is £10 for the whole week from Thursday to Thursday.
As well as the fast and exciting racing, there will be a funfair on site to keep the children amused as well as trade stands and a beer tent and disco on the Friday and Saturday nights.
