Committee Meeting

Members are reminded that the next meeting is on Tuesday, March 14, at 7 pm. And believe it or not, the meeting after that we will be open! Visitors Comments

We invariably get visitors looking over the gate when the maintenance gang are in residence on a Monday and Thursday, and we always ask them in to look around. Lately there have been a number of crown green bowlers, and the last viewers looked everywhere except in Chris Jenkins's workshop! Upon leaving they expressed to Bertie Brace, the number one painter, that is "the finest clubhouse we have ever seen" - mind you, everything did look sparkling in the spring sunshine, if you disregarded the paint tins and power washers in the main pavilion. It is still nice to have compliments from complete strangers. Nice gesture

Although now finished playing, Sam McNeilly still retains his links with the club. There are always books for the library and videos. He is now preparing the cards for secretary Dai Spencer, who will run the Corals Tournament, an event that Sam ran for many years. Not to be outdone, wife Betty sent in a big bag of biscuits for the workers, as she thought they looked undernourished! Well some of them are, Betty, but thanks anyway, they are going down a treat with Reg's morning cup of tea! Match Sponsors

We are extremely grateful to the individuals and business people in the town who have supported the club this season by sponsoring a match.
