With three regulars out, the Stena Line sponsored Five Arches travelled over the bridge to meet Neyland on Sunday.
With all three Tenby sides in action, it stretched the playing resources to the limit for all the teams.
Colin Henderson made his debut on the notoriously tricky Neyland green.
Roy Powling and his rink had a rare old tussle with Bill Barrett's men and were in with a shout until the last few ends. They eventually went down by eight shots.
Battling Dai King Thomas, with Maxie Donoghue promoted to third, scorched home over the last three ends by taking nine shots to finish six shots ahead of home captain Dave Sutton. With a fit again Ron Hurlow now back as lead, it gives a good platform for the rest of the rink.
Credit must go to Ray Holly and his crew who battled all the way through the game, to only finish three shots adrift.
It was a torrid introduction for Colin on his first appearance for the Arches.
The Neyland green is always a little difficult, but he stuck to his task manfully, while Ray again pulled off some great shots.
It was fairytale stuff for Mike and his crew. They went into the last end one down, and after some great strikes by Gerald Hewitt on the previous two ends, he again produced the goods by dragging the jack back for the visitors to hold three.
But, there was more drama to come as Bert pulled another one in and the opposing third, former Arches player, Geoff Nutall pushed a further Arches wood into the count.
The visitors were now holding five. Mike made his two woods count and the home skip was now staring down the barrel of the gun, and to the disbelief of the home side and visitors alike, he put his final wood down with the wrong bias.
Now it was calculation time. After 10 ends, the Arches were 19 shots adrift, but by a great effort they had cancelled that out in the second half. In the end, it was a draw, but the seasiders were delighted with the result.
All the home pre-match talk has been about commitment and concentration, and boy did they do it at Neyland.
With one more league game against Saundersfoot and a Diment Cup match against the Dock, the Arches season will have come to a close.
