Both toddlers and mothers had lots of fun when the New Hedges Parent and Toddler group held a sponsored bounce on Wednesday, June 22. Thanks to the kind permission of Mr. Charles Davies, at Heatherton, who donated the use of their two trampolines, the toddlers successfully bounced continuously for 45 minutes and raised a grand total of £256. The event was held in order for the toddlers to make a donation towards the New Hedges Family Fun Day on Thursday, August 4, when the new playing field and play area will be officially opened. Along with a fancy dress parade and disco, there will be a bouncy castle, magic show, barbecue and a variety of side stalls. Parents and Toddlers meet every Tuesday and Thursday (term time) at New Hedges Village Hall between 10 and 11.45 am.
