This week is Independent Bookshop Week and Chapter One - the bookshop at Narberth Museum, is re-opening after what has been a difficult few months.
The bookshop is an essential source of income for the Museum and thankfully, a grant from the Lottery’s Heritage Emergency Fund has helped keep it afloat till now.
It is thanks to National Lottery players that this money is available to organisations like Narberth Museum.
Although the future seems very uncertain, staff and volunteers are very grateful for this support and are looking forward to getting back to business and welcoming loyal and new customers.
Chapter One will be open from 11 am to 5 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. All protective measures will be in place to ensure that customers feel confident to browse the new and secondhand titles.
For those who are still a little wary of coming into the shop, 30 minute private appointments between 10 and 11 am can be made by emailing [email protected] and books can also be ordered for collection or home delivery.
