The Ocean Commotion Children's Play Centre was the venue for Tenby Playgroup's party on Wednesday, which functioned as a farewell to the older children and featured a book presentation.
The Atlantic Hotel had sponsored the purchase of a range of books to assist playgroup staff with planning activities and training helpers. These were formally presented by Mrs. Doris James and her daughter, Nicola Rees.
There followed a special prizegiving where certificates were awarded to the best boy and girl attenders and to Nathaan Rees for raising the most funds with a sponsored walk. Certificates were also given to all those children who will be moving up to start school in September.
If the children seemed a little unimpressed at all this formality, it was probably because they were eagerly awaiting the food and drink that followed.
The organisers of Tenby Playgroup wish to convey their thanks to Ocean Commotion for their hospitality, and to the Atlantic Hotel for enabling them to buy excellent resources.
