Bodybuilders throughout the country will be converging on Tenby's Kiln Park on Sunday for the second Open West Wales Body Building Championships.
Following on from the success of a similar event two years ago, local bodybuilder Neil Hill, of Sageston, has organised the WFBB affiliated event, with all proceeds going to the Noah's Ark Appeal in memory of Kate Elizabeth Spooner, the daughter of a close friend who tragically died earlier this year aged just four.
Sponsored by Chemical Nutrition Products, the championship will see a total of £1,600 up for grabs, along with bronze statues in all classes, including Junior Under 21, First Timers, Intermediate, Over 40, Miss Figure, Miss Physique, Under 80 Kg Mr, Under 90 Kg Mr, and Over 90 kg Mr.
Pre-judging will be at 11 am, with the evening show beginning at 7 pm. Doors open at 6.30 pm.
Guest star will be Gary Lister, the current Great Britain, European and World Champion and reigning Mr. Universe.
In addition to organising the event, Neil will be taking part himself, while another local face, Duane Creese, will also be entering the competition.
With food, bar and refreshments all day, it promises to be a great family day out.
