Sir,

Good news for those of us who are opposed to Bluestone - the CNP have started the legal challenge and David Bellamy has joined the protest.

And to correct those who said it, the people of Pembrokeshire didn't vote for this project, the voters were a combination of elected councillors and National Assembly nominees.

This project still leaves many unanswered questions:

Why are the log cabins being built in Estonia and not in Pembrokeshire?

Which other parts of this project are being shipped from outside?

If they claim this project is investing in Pembrokeshire where is the investment going?

Why should anyone sign for the supplier programme when goods are coming from outside even before a sod is lifted?

And as for 600 full-time jobs! If you work a minimum of 16 hours a week, you are deemed as being employed and off the unemployment register. How many of these jobs will be a full 40 hours and all-year-round.

It has also come to light that Jackie Lawrence MP has resigned as vice-president of the CNP, because they oppose the project.

She should have left office the minute she made her comment saying this project would be good for local employment, despite offering low pay.

Mrs. Lawrence should be fighting for highly skilled, highly paid jobs, not keeping us below the poverty line.

This project may deliver what they promise; it could also destroy more businesses and jobs than it creates by being in competition with these businesses.

The sooner this project is scrapped and a proper long term and thought out strategy for jobs and prosperity is drawn up the better.

Mr. I. L. Williams,

Allans Court,

Cold Blow,

Narberth.
