A second attempt to sentence a woman accused of possessing a blow torch as a weapon has failed after she again refused to leave her prison cell.
Tina Dawn Thomas, aged 23, has admitted assault and the possession "of a variety of weapons" including the torch.
Thomas, of Garfield Gardens, Narberth, had been listed for sentence in April, but refused to leave Eastwood Park woman's prison near Bristol.
The hearing was adjourned until Thursday to allow time for the defence to arrange for a psychiatrist to prepare a report about her mental health.
However, Thomass's barrister, Corrina Hughes, told Swansea crown court that Thomas had also refused to co-operate with the psychiatrist and no report had been prepared.
Miss Hughes said Thomas had been contacted by solicitors representing her via a video link with the prison and warned of the possible consequences of refusing to attend court or to provide them with proper instructions.
"She seemed to understand," added Miss Hughes, but she maintained her refusal to leave the prison.
Judge Chris Vosper said he was concerned about the case, partly because he would have to determine whether Thomas should be classed as a danger to the public, which would lead to a sentence for public protection.
He said Thomas had a long record for "low level violence", but it was violence that could have been serious and which had involved weapons.
He decided to appoint a court psychiatrist, who may be able to prepare a report on Thomas even if she refused to co-operate.
"A psychiatrist appointed by the court might get further than one appointed by the defence solicitors," he added.
The next sentencing hearing will be on July 30, this time via a video link between the court and Eastwood Park.
