An update was given at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council on Tenby in Bloom activities.
In Bloom committee member Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas gave an update on the action group's progress to councillors in chairman and Mayor Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane's absence.
Clr. Mrs. Thomas said that an extra bench had been located for Brother Thomas's garden, and that the town's handyman with help from Mr. Tapley had refurbished the bench.
Jewson's had donated a tonne of stone chippings for the Battery garden, with Valero volunteers set to continue their work in that area, and children from Portfield School starting to put in sensory plants in the garden.
She said that Kinlock Court were happy to allow their water to be used which would be wonderful if some people from that area could now volunteer for watering duties.
The youth club are ready to get on with the planting at the train station and would be doing a litter pick and clearing the weeds around St. Teilo's School.
The lay-by near the 'Welcome to Tenby' sign needed attention, with Clr. Mrs. Lane investigating the idea of placing big boulders there.
Fellow In Bloom committee member Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter said that the weeding club would be meeting for the next two Sundays to continue work on weeding the entrance to the cemetery, while she thanked Mr. Gordon Williams for offering to undertake weeding duties on St. Florence Parade.
She added that members of the lifeboat crew had offered to help with a clean up on Castle Hill.
