Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, who is also chairman of Tenby in Bloom, made the trip to Llandudno recently to receive the award Tenby received for 'best small country town' in this year's Wales in Bloom competition.
"It was a very good ceremony and, as always, a delight to represent the town," said Clr. Mrs. Lane at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council.
"I learnt at the awards that we were only five points off the gold status that we need to be considered for Britain in Bloom, so we need an extra big push next year to pull out all the stops for our floral displays in the town.
"I've a few ideas that I will be putting forward soon," she told members.
