With Welshman Gerwyn Price having won the World Darts title last weekend, we thought it appropriate to include this picture - kindly provided by Wendy Watkins - of some talented local ‘arrowsmiths’ from yesteryear in our Blast from the Past feature. The photograph is of the successful Crown, Tenby, team from the 1976-77 season and features: Back row (from left) - Philip Watkins, Butch Craig, Terry Morris, Mike Smiddy; front - Gareth Jones, Jimmy Oliver (capt), Ian Sanderson. Unbeaten that season, they won the Tenby and District League’s First Division, 1001 Cup, Lydstep Cup, Captain’s Cup and Singles Championship.
