Clr. David Boswell turned his 53rd birthday celebrations into a fundraising event on Saturday, March 1, to raise money for the plaques he wishes to erect at Freshwater West to remember those who died in the Landing Craft Disaster.

A fantastic sum of £400 was raised at the event, and Clr. Boswell would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Maine, landlord and landlady at the First and Last, for supporting him in his fundraising efforts, also Archie's Disco and the kind donation from Tomahawk Civil Engineering, based in Carmarthen, and all those who kindly donated that evening.

Clr. Boswell hopes to erect the plaques in the forthcoming months.
