Married at Haverfordwest Register Office on Friday were David Price and Ruth Louise White.

The groom, who works for Pembrokeshire Carpet Care, is the son of Christina Price, of Liverpool, while the bride is the daughter of Diane White, of Tenby, and the late Robert Price.

Given away by her brother, Daniel White, the bride wore an ivory organza dress with black lace trim on the bodice.

She was attended by Grace White, bride's sister, who wore a pale green organza dress with beading detail.

Best man was the couple's two-year-old son, Riley.

Following the ceremony, a reception for family and friends was held at Tenby Ex-Servicemen's Club.

The couple will make their home in Valley Road, Saundersfoot.

The wedding day was an extra special celebration for those attending as Ruth is suffering from recurrent cervical cancer and an appeal, A Chance for Ruth, has been launched to raise £20,000 to pay for specialist treatment for the 27-year-old.

Inspired by the donation of a wedding cake that a friend won in a raffle, Ruth and Dave - with help from family, friends and the local community - arranged their wedding in just two weeks!

Steve Williams, of Yes Limos, provided a surprise limo to take the couple to the reception, with Heywood Mount Hotel donating a wedding night room, with champagne and chocolates. Four Seasons Florists supplied table decorations for the reception, while Georgina's Bridal Studio altered Ruth's wedding dress and donated a headdress free of charge, while fund-raiser Julie James decorated the reception venue.

"There were a few tears, but it was a lovely day," said Ruth's mum, Diane.

"We couldn't have done it without everyone's help - people have been amazing."
