Two of our local characters and best mates - Simon Rossiter and Chris Brace pictured on their tandem bike during one of their grueling training session.

The pair intend to cycle the tandem bike from Anglesey to Withybush General Hospital, covering about 200 miles in three days to help raise funds for the Withybush Hospital Cancer Day Unit.

The event was the idea of Jan Richards from the Withybush Hospital Cancer Day Unit so the challenge is a particularly special one for Simon after Jan and the cancer day unit provided him with excellent care during his chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin cancer so by taking part it is his way to say a big thank you to Jan and everyone at the unit and raise some much needed funds for them.

Simon, Chris and Jan will be joined on the bike ride by some of their very close friends/family, with everyone supporting and encouraging each other throughout the endurance challenge.
