Many people in Saundersfoot and Tenby will recognise John Deane (pictured left).

Although John lives in Dudley in the West Midlands, he has been visiting Pembrokeshire for 65 years and now spends most of the summer months here every year.

John is a vice-president and enthusiastic follower of Tenby Male Choir, and when in Tenby, he attends St. Johns Church.

In the 2015 New Year's Honours List, John was awarded a British Empire Medal for services to the community.

He is pictured receiving his award from the Lord Lieutenant of the West Midlands Mr. Paul Sabapathy CBE with the Mayor of Dudley, Margaret Aston, in attendance.
