On Friday, May 9, a community celebration quiz/raffle and fancy dress was held at The Begelly Arms, to coincide with the VE Day 80th anniversary events across the nation, with all funds raised going to Help for Heroes.

Wartime food (rationed) was supplied by Peter Adams of the Begelly Arms with the jam sandwiches going down really well.

The quiz was hosted by the regular quiz host, Dangerous Dave from Dagenham with all questions, picture rounds and music war time themed.

It was a really enjoyable evening with war time sing songs included, and with 11 teams attending, the event raised £430 towards Help For Heroes.
