A ‘Barrel of Laughs’ comedy night at the end of the month will benefit charities.

The first stand-up charity comedy night held at the De Valence on Thursday, May 30, will see proceeds divided between The Velindre Cancer Centre and locally (Tenby) agreed charities.

“This is a unique event with nationally recognised professional stand-up comedians Andy Askins, Sally-Anne Hayward and Noel James performing,” said event organiser Anthony Mattick.

“The comedians will be joined by compere, Barry Castagnola who will entertain the crowds, whilst raising money for The Velindre Cancer Centre and locally agreed charities.”

Doors will open at 7 pm with the show commencing at 7.30, with tickets priced at £12.50 for rows and £13.50 for tables. Purchases can be made at The De Valence Pavilion or online via the venue’s website.

Anthony would like to thanks the De Valence Trust, Dave, events manager and main sponsors, Templeton Beer Wine & Spirit Co for helping bring this unique event together.

Tickets are still available and it is hoped to arrange further comedy nights in the future, attracting more big names to Tenby.
