Three baritones were in harmony at the Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir’s annual dinner when they received long service awards.
Gerry Gommo (20 years), Chris Rooker and Tony Ward (both 15 years) were presented with certificates by Musical Director Juliet Rossiter.
A fourth member of the baritone section, John Shaw – who has completed 30 years with the choir – was unable to be present for the event, held at The Helm, Pembroke Dock.
John was presented with his certificate at the following week’s practice.
Bouquets were presented to the Musical Team of Conductor Juliet Rossiter, accompanist Carole Rees and principal soloist and deputy accompanist Alyson Griffiths, coupled with the appreciation of choristers for all their contributions to the success of the choir.
Jenny John, who is the CD sales team of one at concerts, also received a bouquet.
The most enjoyable evening – the first annual dinner in three years – was organised by Choir MC Matthew John. He was warmly thanked along with Choir Secretary/Treasurer Dean Maiden for all his leadership during a very successful year.
